I am an independent shop in Rapid City SD. I have been searching for an exhaust manifold for my customers 1973 Buick Riviera. I was told that they had a matching exhaust manifold over a week ago. I sent pictures of my manifold to make sure that they had a manifold that matched. Finally over a week later I received a call from Ikes and was told that they hadn't even shipped the exhaust manifold yet, but did have a matching manifold. I received no calls in the prior week from Ikes and was under the impression the manifold was being shipped. I had to call them multiple times to find out the status of my order and it had never even been pulled for shipping. I am very displeased with the absolute poor service I have received!
I went in there the other day, I'm from New york, this is an awesome junkyard, fair prices, also the pretty red head at the counter was extremely helpful. She was able to get me the part I needed. She was quick about telling the yard hand to pull me part( I was in a hurry because my wife needed dinner haha). But overall a great place if you like friendly faces and good customer service (and if you just wanna see someone beautiful at the counter). When I first walked in there I wasn't even acknowledged the girl working there seems so lazy to even bother to ask me any questions. I was looking for a part for my truck and one of the kids working there he seem to be good and did his job correctly. That's about it. the guy..his supervisor I'm guessing... was jerk to put it in nice words he pissed off. I don't always do reviews but ...I sure do them when I go somewhere and I get bad customer service. I don't even know how you can read them 5 stars..the only reason why I did two stars is because the kid working there was the only good thing about that place.
If you have tough to find parts call them. I had a 77 Dodge Powerwagon axle shaft to find and they had it....perfect fit.
They went above the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of, and that kind of customer service is not easy to find in the used parts business. I will definitely do business with these folks again.
These guys are great...Elwood really know his stuff you can tell just by speaking with him on the phone and Amanda got the part out asap.
